Arbor Mundi
Trees are more than landscapes. They mirror the architecture of our minds - branching through memory, connection and belonging. In Arbor Mundi, nature becomes a reflection of our inner world.
Tree Nest
A tree becomes a world.
Among its tangled branches, Australian white ibis gather, nest and raise their young - birds so casually diminished in the Australian vernacular to “bin chickens.” Here, they are returned to the tree. They become what they have always been: wild birds building a communal home - awkward, elegant, noisy, watchful and alive.
The dense network of branches was built through layered paint and direct impressions from natural twigs, allowing the architecture of the nest to emerge through both intention and accident.
